Mmm....chocolate milk and cold pizza....my favorite....

Actually, Pizza Hut pizza really isn't so hot when it's cold. Actually, I just made a pun there, an oxymoron if you will. Anyway, I'm really bored, and I haven't updated for a while, so here you go. I updated. I'll post a story later since I feel like I owe you all  one.

I think I've finally found it!

  • Mood: I don't know
  • Music: "We're Not Gonna Take It" by Twisted Sister
Finally, a college that meets almost all of my needs! East Tennessee State University. It's a school of arts and sciences, so that means the musical and verbal programs are exceptional. The only problem, is well, it's in Tennessee. Devin's going to Purdue, so that's not going to work. However, they do offer online courses, so I could get my degree completely online. The only setback on that is I don't think they offer all of the courses I want to take online. I'll do more research on it, because I just kind of glanced around the site. Assuming I go there, I would major in public speaking/storytelling and minor in music performance. I've been told that they are the only university on earth that you can get a master's degree for storytelling, so I might just have to do that....

Bored out of my mind.

Yup. I should go to sleep, but I can't. Oh well. Happens. It's been a while since I've updated. Oh well. Happens. As a matter of fact, I'm currently entertaining myself with Mahjongg (and losing terribly, mind you). I have no idea what to do...oh well, I've updated, I think I'll go to sleep. Happens. Later.

I don't know.

  • Mood: lonely
  • Music: "My Gift to You" by Korn

I honestly don't. I just have a really weird feeling right now. The best way I can describe it is bittersweet to the extremities of each. The sweet part is having Devin. I'm so in love with her that I get sick to my stomach every time we part. That's how pathetic I am. What makes it better is that she loves me just as much as I do her. I have no idea how she can stand me. I've got no where to go. Every time her parents ask me what I want to do after high school, I panic because there's nothing out there for me. I don't want her to feel like she's going to be with a loser, but she is. She keeps telling me that she won't let me give up my dream of being a musician for her, but it's not giving it up. It's realizing that it's only a dream, not an attainable reality. I don't have what it takes.

For the bitter part...I just feel lonely. I don't know why. I can't get a hold of Devin, or I wouldn't be sitting here right now. Matt, Joe, and Kevin are coming over in an hour to practice, and  I don't feel like it. I've got to write lyrics for 3 more songs before Monday. I got 15 minutes (if I'm lucky) of sleep last night because I was working on Devin's surprise until 5 am. I came to my senses that it is a complete and total failure, in which I invested and wasted over 10 hours worth of time this week, and to no avail or success of any measure. Justin wants me to go on the youth group outing tomorrow from the church I swore I would never be associated with again, and I told my mom I would only go if Devin could, and Devin can't. So Justin is going to be mad at me, Matt's going to be mad at me because I don't have enough lyrics written, and Devin's going to be mad because I built up all this anticipation for her surprise and I can't do it. Why does it seem that I can't do anything right?

I actually did attempt to post the other day...

  • Mood: just chipper
  • Music: "Resist the Urge" by BUR(whatever surname is)

...but due to my short attention span (or lack of attention span as a whole), I didn't. I accidentally closed the window (please don't ask how), and I was too lazy to type it all again, so I didn't.

Well, right now I'm talking to Devin on Megan's messenger, and I'm kind of teasing her about her surprise. She's threatening to do something if I drag it out any longer, but oh well, I just might have to do it anyway...

I really don't have much to say other than that, I just figured I'd put something so you'd know that I am, in fact, still alive. Please enjoy this picture of a large man dancing and firing from the hip randomly.

My masterpiece.

  • Mood: gleeful
  • Music: "Fixation on the Darkness" by KsE

A few minor personal alterations...

Viola! A masterpiece is born!

So much happened today. Matt and I practiced with Aaron, and we got "Fixation" and "Not Ready to Die" down almost perfectly. Then, Matt told me he would buy my cab from me when I got a new amp. Well, my dad told me that I could get a new amp as soon as Matt gave me a small deposit on the cab. So I'm getting a new amp! A better, more professional sounding amp! Yay! I'm so excited! And to top things off, Devin's surprise (still not telling you ) is coming along great, and should be done [hopefully] within the next couple of weeks. I'm debating whether I should have Evan rub that in even more....

I did indeed forget to mention that I changed my main journal image. I hope you all like it. Well, here's a little thing that I personally find extremely amusing.

That's right! Rabbi Collecting Cards! Get them while they're hot!

Anyway, I got a lot further with Devin's surprise than I intended to. Now it's about 2/3 of the way done. If you read this, I promise you that I will get it done as soon as possible. Evan's going to help me on some of it, so that'll be fun. Well, I've got lots more work to do, so I'll get back later. That being said, later!

Check out that beast!

  • Mood: dance-partyish
  • Music: "Raise Your Hands to Rock" by Motley Crue

I'm going to post everyday for a week to make up for my laziness. So, I shall attempt to entertain you with a random picture each day. Here is one of my personal favorites...the first person I would think to invite to a house party. He really knows how to bust a move.

Who wouldn't want to bust a move with that? Okay, now onto relevancy. Since Devin posted a comment on here to one of my posts, I know she may come back and read this sometime, so I'll post right here and tell her how much I love her, although she already knows that. I know how much you enjoy the Amish, so this is just for you! Hopefully pretty soon, I'll have a special surprise just for you, but don't start asking because I'm not going to tell you. Sorry, I just like keeping you in suspense. I love you!

To make up for my laziness causing me to not post for the past few weeks...

  • Mood: N/A
  • Music: "Wearing the Inside Out" by Pink Floyd

...please enjoy this picture of a duck-billed platypus.

Well, I guess quite a bit has gone on in the past few weeks. Some of which I will tell you about, and some that I would rather not. We had our first band contest yesterday, and we were great! We got third, but we were within 6/10 of a point behind second. It was awesome. To make it even better, we got the award that Evan told me we absolutely had to get  --best drum major. Indeed, it was a good time. The guy handing out the trophies had a good sense of humor. Half the trophies said something different than what they were awarded for. That guy just said, "Well, you know what we mean." It was good stuff.

Matt's coming over this afternoon to practice with me one last time before we practice as a full band. I can't wait. That'll be oodles of fun. I really don't know what else to say right now, but I'll probably think of something later.
